"Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." – PP
Let me guide you through the entire process
Collaboration is at the heart of everything I do as a microstock photographer, and I’m always looking for talented individuals to join me on exciting creative projects. Whether you’re a model, makeup artist, hairstylist, designer, brand owner or another visionary, I believe that together, we can bring unique ideas to life and create imagery that reaches global audiences through stock platforms and beyond.
01. Call for content
Each project begins with a brief I receive from a stock agency. This outlines the type of images needed, the theme, and the story we want to tell. This is where your creativity comes in!
02. Research & Mood Board Creation
I carefully research trends, styles, and the desired aesthetic. Then, I prepare a mood board outlining the vision for makeup, wardrobe, model characteristics, lighting, and the overall message we want to convey.
03. Location Scouting
Once the concept is clear, I scout a location that fits the vibe of the shoot. I'll visit the site beforehand to get a feel for the setting, capturing reference photos that help shape the visual narrative.
04: Call for Collaborations
After preparing the concept, I put out a detailed call for collaborators. This includes the date, location, and specific roles I’m looking for—whether it’s models, makeup artists, hairstylists, or designers. This is your opportunity to join the creative team!
05: Team Selection
Once I've reviewed all submissions, I choose the collaborators who best align with the project. To ensure we're all on the same page, I’ll arrange a virtual call (via Teams) or, when possible, an in-person meeting. Together, we’ll share ideas, explore how each creative can contribute, and make sure the vision comes to life cohesively.
06: Legal Agreements
Before the photoshoot, all models will be required to sign a Model Release Form, and if the shoot involves a private location, a Property Release Form will also be needed. Additionally, each contributor will sign a Usage Agreement that clearly outlines how their photos can be used, such as for portfolios or social media. These documents are provided in advance to ensure transparency, legal clarity, and proper usage rights for everyone involved before the project begins.
07: The Photoshoot
With everything planned and all agreements in place, we come together to bring the concept to reality. Everyone’s unique skills and perspectives play a key role in delivering a successful shoot.
08: Contributor Benefits
Your creative collaboration is invaluable, and as a token of appreciation, I’m happy to offer a selection of retouched photos from the shoot.
As a model or contributor, you’ll receive 3 to 5 professionally retouched images of your choice. You’ll have two weeks to pick your favorites from a gallery, or I can select the best images for you. If you’d like more photos beyond the included selection, additional retouching can be arranged for a small fee.
Additionally, the images chosen for microstock agencies will also be shared with the team, allowing everyone to see the final selection and enjoy the commercial exposure.
09: Expanding the Visibility of Our Work
I strive to ensure our creative collaborations get the recognition they deserve, far beyond just stock platforms. As a non-exclusive contributor, I have the flexibility to promote our work across multiple channels:
- Stock Photography Agencies: Our images are uploaded to top stock platforms, making them available to a wide range of commercial clients.
- Social Media: Projects are shared on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to engage with a global audience and leverage niche trends.
- Online Publications and Blogs: Where relevant, I submit our work to creative blogs and fashion websites for further exposure.
- Editorial and Magazine Submissions: As the copyright holder, I can also submit images to print and online magazines, broadening their reach.
- Exhibitions and Competitions: I seek opportunities to feature our projects in exhibitions and competitions to gain additional exposure.
